Instructions
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Jack up the vehicle and support it on jack stands.
3. Remove the lug nuts and tire from the wheel that you will be changing the hub on.
4. Use the breaker bar and 17 mm socket to loosen the 4 bolts that hold the caliper bracket to the spindle.
5. If equipped: Use the flat screwdriver to remove the four keeper clips from the back of the rotor. Slide the rotor off of the spindle.
6. Remove the brake caliper bracket from the spindle by sliding it off of the bolts. Place the caliper on the rotor and zip-tie it to the suspension.
7. Locate the 12 mm bolt through the steering knuckle. Remove this bolt. If the nut spins while removing the bolt, grab onto it with pliers.
8. Use the breaker bar and 30 mm socket to remove the axle nut from the hub. It may be very tight and difficult to remove.
9. Optional: Use the pry bar to wedge between the hub and the spindle. This may help to loosen the hub from the spindle.
10. Strike the hub with the mallet between the wheel studs to knock it loose from the spindle. Then, use the pry bar to pry it off of the spindle.
11. Optional: Insert the hub remover/installer into the new hub. Make sure that the hub is seated properly against the spindle. Tighten the hub nut onto the spindle until snug.
12. Reverse the steps to install the new hub, paying close attention to securing the caliper securely and reinstalling the cotter pin properly.
13. Torque the lug nuts to the proper specification per the vehicle's repair manual.
14. Lower the vehicle carefully.
