How do you replace the rear motor mount on a 91 Honda Accord LX?

Tools and Materials Needed:

- Jack and jack stands

- Wrench set

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flat head screwdriver

- Socket set

- New rear motor mount

- Penetrating oil

Instructions:

1.) Make sure the engine is cool.

2.) Raise the front of the vehicle and support the frame on jack stands.

3.) Park the vehicle in neutral and apply the parking brake.

4.) Locate the rear motor mount. It is located at the rear of the engine, between the transmission and the firewall.

5.) Remove the nuts and bolts that secure the rear motor mount to the engine and transmission.

6.) Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the old motor mount off of the engine.

7.) Clean the mounting surfaces on the engine and transmission.

8.) Apply a thin coat of penetrating oil to the new motor mount.

9.) Install the new motor mount on the engine.

10.) Insert the nuts and bolts and tighten them until snug.

11.) Lower the vehicle off of the jack stands.

12.) Test drive the vehicle to make sure that the motor mount is installed correctly.
