1. Make sure the engine is turned off and the ignition switch is in the "OFF" position.
2. Locate the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) connector under the dashboard, usually near the driver's side footwell. It should have a plastic cover with a release button.
3. Remove the cover by pressing the release button and pull the connector out of its housing.
4. Connect a jumper wire between the "TEST" and "GND" terminals of the DTC connector. You can use a paper clip or a piece of wire for this purpose.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
6. Leave the jumper wire connected for about 10 seconds, then remove it.
7. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
8. The check engine light should now be turned off.
If the check engine light turns on again after you have reset it, it means that there is still a problem with the vehicle and it needs to be diagnosed and repaired. You can take your car to a qualified mechanic or an authorized Honda service center for further diagnosis and repair.
