Tools Needed:
- Socket wrench set
- Socket extensions
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Pliers
- Bungee cords or similar material
1. Disconnect Battery:
Disconnect the negative terminal of your car's battery to avoid any electrical issues.
2. Remove Side Cover Trim:
On both sides of the seat, locate and pry off the side cover trims that cover the seat adjustment bolts. Use a flat-head screwdriver and pry carefully.
3. Remove Seat Adjustment Bolts:
Under the side cover trims, you will find four bolts. Use your socket wrench with an extension to loosen and remove these bolts.
4. Move Seat All the Way Forward:
Use the seat controls to move the seat all the way forward to provide yourself with more working space.
5. Remove Front Seat Belt Bolts:
Locate and remove the bolts that secure the front seat belt to the floor. These are usually 17 mm bolts.
6. Disconnect Electrical Connectors:
Look under the seat for any electrical connectors attached to the seat. Carefully disconnect these connectors.
7. Support Seat:
Before completely removing the seat, place bungee cords or other suitable material around the seat to support it and prevent it from falling.
8. Remove Front Seat Bolts:
Use your socket wrench to loosen and remove the bolts that secure the front of the seat to the floor. There should be two bolts at the front of the seat.
9. Remove Seat:
Gently lift the seat and slide it out through the front of the vehicle. Be careful not to damage any interior parts during the removal.
10. Reconnect Battery:
Once the seat is removed, you can reconnect the negative terminal of your battery.
