1. Remove transmission dipstick.
2. Attach vinyl hose to open end.
3. Drain transmission fluid into suitable container.
Step 2: Remove Exhaust Pipe
1. Remove rear exhaust pipe brackets attaching pipes to rear
axle housing.
2. Remove exhaust pipes.
Step 3: Remove Clutch Master
1. Disconnect clutch line at master cylinder.
2. Remove master cylinder from brake booster.
Step 4: Remove Starter Motor
1. Disconnect starter motor wiring.
2. Remove starter motor mounting bolt.
3. Remove starter motor.
Step 5: Remove Slave Cylinder
1. Disconnect slave line at clutch housing.
2. Remove clutch slave cylinder bolts and remove slave cylinder.
3. Inspect clutch release bearing for wear or damage.
Step 6: Inspect Clutch Plate and Pressure Plate
1. Remove transmission access cover and inspect clutch plate
and pressure plate for wear and oil contamination.
Step 7: Install Slave Cylinder
1. Install new or rebuilt clutch slave cylinder.
2. Tighten mounting bolts.
3. Connect flexible slave line to the cylinder.
Step 8: Install Clutch Master Cylinder
1. Install the clutch master cylinder onto the booster.
2. Tighten mounting nuts.
3. Tighten brake line onto master cylinder.
Step 9: Install Starter Motor
1. Install starter motor bolt and tighten bolt.
2. Tighten starter motor wiring to the starter motor.
Step 10: Install Rear Exhaust Pipe
1. Install rear exhaust pipe brackets to rear axle housing.
2. Install exhaust pipes.
3. Verify exhaust pipe alignment and tighten brackets.
Step 11: Replace Transmission Fluid
1. Remove fluid transfer hose from transmission dipstick tube.
2. Install transmission dipstick.
3. Add proper amount of transmission fluid to the dipstick tube.
Step 12: Test Drive Vehicle
1. Test drive vehicle to verify proper clutch operation.
