1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the spare tire tool kit. It is usually in the trunk of the vehicle.
3. Open the trunk and remove the spare tire cover.
4. Use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the spare tire. Do not remove the lug nuts completely.
5. Place the flat tire under the vehicle, near the spare tire. Make sure the lug nuts will meet with the holes on the tire when placing.
6. Remove the lug nuts completely and remove the flat tire.
7. Place the spare tire on the vehicle. Hand tighten the nuts but do not use the wrench.
8. Lower the vehicle. This will help you align the tire properly.
9. Tighten the lug nuts with the wrench. Tighten them in a star pattern, tightening each nut a little bit at a time until they are snug.
10. Replace the spare tire cover and the lug nuts.
