Open the glove box completely and locate the tab on the right-hand side.
Press the tab and release the glove box door
There will be a plastic cover held by a metal wire that you can carefully bend out of the way to open.
Push down on the plastic cover and slide it out of the retainer hooks to reveal the cabin air filter.
Pull out the old cabin air filter and vacuum the debris from the compartment.
Insert the new cabin air filter with the arrow facing the inside of the vehicle.
Slide the plastic cover back in, bend the wire if needed, and replace the glove door.
That's it! You have successfully replaced the cabin air filter in your 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser.
