How do you adjust idle speed on a 1998 Honda Accord?

To adjust the idle speed on a 1998 Honda Accord, you will need a Phillips head screwdriver and a flat head screwdriver.

1. Open the hood of your car and locate the idle air control valve (IACV). It is a black solenoid located on the side of the throttle body.

2. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the two screws that hold the IACV in place.

3. Once the screws are loose, use the flat head screwdriver to gently rotate the IACV clockwise to increase the idle speed or counterclockwise to decrease the idle speed.

4. Tighten the two screws to hold the IACV in place.

5. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. The idle speed should now be set at the correct level.

If the idle speed is still not correct, you may need to have the car's fuel injection system cleaned or the throttle body replaced.
