2. Remove the steering wheel. You'll need a steering wheel puller for this.
3. Remove the ignition switch housing. There are usually four bolts that hold the housing in place.
4. Remove the ignition switch. The ignition switch is held in place by a snap ring. Use a snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring, then pull the ignition switch out of the housing.
5. Install the new ignition switch. Insert the new ignition switch into the housing and secure it with the snap ring.
6. Reinstall the ignition switch housing. Bolt the housing back in place.
7. Reinstall the steering wheel. Use the steering wheel puller to reinstall the steering wheel.
8. Reconnect the battery. Start the engine and check that the ignition switch is working properly.
