Tools and Materials Needed:
- Jack and jack stands

- New flex pipe
- Pipe clamps or exhaust flange nuts and gaskets

Step 1: Prepare the Car
1. Park the car on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Allow the engine to cool down if it was recently running.
3. Raise the front of the car using the jack and place jack stands under the designated jack points to support the vehicle safely.
Step 2: Locate the Flex Pipe
1. Look under the car near the engine compartment to find the exhaust system.
2. The flex pipe is usually located between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter.
Step 3: Remove the Old Flex Pipe
1. Use a hacksaw or pipe cutter to cut the old flex pipe from both sides.
2. Remove any mounting brackets or clamps holding the flex pipe in place.
3. Be careful when handling the old flex pipe as it may be hot and sharp.
Step 4: Install the New Flex Pipe
1. Fit the new flex pipe into place, aligning the ends with the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter.
2. Secure the flex pipe using the supplied clamps or exhaust flange nuts and gaskets. Tighten the fasteners securely.
Step 5: Reinstall the Exhaust System
1. Reconnect the exhaust system components that you removed to access the flex pipe.
2. Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure.
Step 6: Lower the Car
1. Carefully lower the car off the jack stands.
2. Double-check the flex pipe and exhaust system connections again.
Step 7: Start the Engine
1. Start the car and let it run for a few minutes.
2. Listen for any unusual noises or exhaust leaks.
Step 8: Test Drive
1. Take the car for a short test drive to ensure the flex pipe is functioning properly and there are no leaks.
