How to Replace the Headlight Bulb on a 1996 Mazda Truck

> - Tools Needed:

> - Phillips Head Screwdriver

> - Flat Head Screwdriver

> - Replacement Headlight Bulb (9006)

1. Open the hood of your Mazda.

> - Locate the hood release lever inside your vehicle, usually under the dashboard on the driver's side.

> - Pull the lever to release the hood and lift it up.

2. Locate the headlight assembly.

> - The headlight assembly is behind the plastic grill cover at the front of the truck.

> - There are two headlight assemblies, one on each side.

3. Remove the plastic grill cover.

> - Use a flat head screwdriver to gently pry the grill cover off of the headlight assembly.

> - Set the grill cover aside in a safe place.

4. Remove the old headlight bulb.

> - Locate the old headlight bulb inside the headlight assembly.

> - Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.

> - Be careful not to drop the old bulb.

5. Insert the new headlight bulb.

> - Hold the new headlight bulb by the base and insert it into the socket.

> - Turn the bulb clockwise to secure it in place.

6. Replace the plastic grill cover.

> - Align the grill cover with the headlight assembly and press it into place.

> - Make sure the grill cover is securely fastened.

7. Test the new headlight bulb.

> - Turn the headlight switch on and check if the new bulb works.

8. Close the hood of your Mazda.

> - Lower the hood and release the hood release lever.
