1. Gather the materials you will need:
- New automatic transmission fluid (ATF) that meets the manufacturer's specifications (usually labeled "Honda Genuine ATF" or equivalent)
- New transmission filter if applicable (check your owner's manual)
- Funnel
- Oil pan or drain pan
- Socket set
- Rag or paper towels
2. Prepare your car:
- You need lift up your car until you can crawl underneath it. You can park on ramps, use a jack and jack stands, or use a lift.
3. Locate the transmission drain plug.

4. Place the oil pan under the drain plug.

8. Reinstall the drain plug.
- Once you have added the prescribed amount of new fluid to the transmission, reinstall the drain plug and tighten it securely.
9. Start Your car
- Start your car and let it run for a few minutes
- Put your transmission through each of the gears, then park.
10. Check the transmission fluid level.
- Use the transmission dipstick to check the fluid level. The fluid level should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.
