To reset the "Maintenance Required" light on a 2004 Toyota Rav 4, simply:

1. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position without starting the engine.

2. Press and hold the trip odometer reset button for 5 seconds.

3. While still holding the reset button, turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

4. Release the reset button.

The "Maintenance Required" light should now be reset.
