2. Locate the e-brake cable adjusting nut. The nut is located near the rear of the vehicle, just ahead of the rear wheels. It is usually covered by a rubber boot.
3. Pry the rubber boot off the nut.
4. Use a 7/16" wrench to turn the nut clockwise until the parking brake is snug.
5. Test the parking brake by releasing it and then reapplying it. Ensure the parking brake is holding the vehicle securely in place.
6. If necessary, repeat steps 4 and 5 until the parking brake is adjusted properly.
7. Replace the rubber boot.
Note: If you have difficulty adjusting the parking brake, you may need to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic.
