_1. Park your car on a flat surface, turn off the engine, and engage the parking brake._
_2. Locate the rear brake caliper on the side of the wheel where the brake is stuck._
- For the right-side caliper, look on the left side of the vehicle; for the left-side caliper, look on the right.
_3. Use a Lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the wheel where the brake is stuck, just enough so that you can rotate the wheel by hand, but do not remove them completely._
_4. Use a pry bar to force the caliper piston back into the caliper._
- Insert the pry bar between the brake pad and the rotor.
- Pry the brake pad away from the rotor until you feel the pressure from the caliper piston being released.
_5. Try rotating the wheel by hand._
- If you can rotate it freely, the brake is no longer stuck.
_6. Retighten the lug nuts that you loosened earlier, and carefully take your car for a test drive to ensure that the brake is functioning properly._
_Note: If you are not comfortable performing this procedure, you can have your car towed to a mechanic to have it repaired._
