1. Gather the necessary tools and parts:
* New exterior door handle
* Phillips-head screwdriver
* Flat-head screwdriver
* Socket set
* Rag
2. Remove the door panel:
1. Open the door and remove the two Phillips-head screws at the bottom of the door panel.
2. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up the door panel's edge, starting from the bottom. Carefully work your way around the panel's perimeter to release the clips holding it in place.
3. Lift the door panel upwards and disconnect any electrical connectors, such as the power window switch or speaker wires. Set the door panel aside.
3. Locate and remove the door handle mounting bolts:
1. Inside the door panel, you'll see the door handle mechanism.
2. Locate the bolts that secure the door handle to the door.
3. Use the appropriate size socket to loosen and remove the bolts.
4. Remove the old door handle:
1. Once the bolts are removed, gently pull the door handle out from the door's outer surface.
2. Disconnect any rods or linkages connected to the handle.
5. Install the new door handle:
1. Position the new door handle in place, ensuring it aligns with the mounting holes.
2. Reattach any rods or linkages previously disconnected.
3. Secure the new door handle with the bolts you removed earlier. Tighten the bolts until snug.
6. Test the door handle:
1. Try opening and closing the door from both the inside and outside to ensure the handle functions correctly.
7. Reattach the door panel:

2. Carefully align the door panel with the door frame and press down evenly around the edges to reattach the clips.
3. Replace the two Phillips-head screws at the bottom of the door panel.
8. Clean the door handle:
1. Use a rag and a mild detergent to wipe down the new door handle, removing any dirt or residue.
9. Test the door handle again:
1. Double-check that the door handle opens and closes smoothly from both the inside and outside.
