1. Disconnect the battery. This will help to prevent any electrical accidents while you are working.
2. Remove the steering wheel. To do this, you will need to use a steering wheel puller. Once the steering wheel is removed, you will need to remove the steering wheel column cover.
3. Locate the ignition switch. The ignition switch is located behind the steering wheel column cover. It is a black cylindrical object with a wire harness attached to it.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness from the ignition switch. To do this, simply press down on the release tab and pull the harness connector off of the switch.
5. Remove the ignition switch. To do this, use a 12mm wrench to loosen the mounting bolts. Once the bolts are loose, you can pull the ignition switch out of the steering column.
6. Install the new ignition switch. Insert the new ignition switch into the steering column and tighten the mounting bolts. Reconnect the wiring harness to the ignition switch.
7. Reinstall the steering wheel column cover and the steering wheel.
8. Reconnect the battery.
