1. Gather the necessary tools and parts.
• Replacement window motor
• Phillips head screwdriver
• Trim removal tool
• Socket set
• Ratchet
2. Remove the door panel.
• Open the rear door and locate the screws that hold the door panel in place. Remove these screws.
• Use the trim removal tool to pry the door panel away from the door. Start at the bottom of the panel and work your way up.
• Disconnect the electrical connectors for the power window switch and the door lock.
• Remove the door panel.
3. Remove the old window motor.
• Locate the window motor. It is mounted to the inside of the door.
• Remove the bolts that hold the window motor in place.
• Disconnect the electrical connector for the window motor.
• Remove the window motor.
4. Install the new window motor.
• Position the new window motor in place.
• Insert the bolts and tighten them until they are snug.
• Connect the electrical connector for the window motor.
5. Test the window motor.
• Turn on the ignition and operate the power window switch. The window should move up and down smoothly.
• If the window does not move, check the electrical connections.
6. Reinstall the door panel.
• Connect the electrical connectors for the power window switch and the door lock.
• Position the door panel in place and insert the screws. Tighten the screws until they are snug.
• Close the rear door.
