1. Turn the ignition key to ON Position
2. Press the Rear Door Lock Switch, located on the driver’s side door, and pull the rear door open.
3. Press the Rear Door Lock Switch again, and close the rear door.
4. The chime will not sound when the door is opened, but the warning chime message, “Rear Door Open,” still displays on the instrument cluster.
To reactivate the chime:
1. With the ignition switch On and the rear hatch or door ajar, pull and hold the Rear Door Lock Switch for at least 5 seconds to restore the audible chime, along with the “Rear Hatch Open” message on the instrument cluster.
