Required tools:

Replacement power window regulator or motor (if needed)
1. Disconnect the Battery:
- Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe location.
- Open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the Door Trim:
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws from the door trim panel.
- Carefully pry off the door trim panel starting from the top and work your way down to remove it.
3. Remove the Door Panel:
- Once the trim panel is removed, you will see the door panel. Remove any screws holding the door panel in place.
- Disconnect any electrical connectors or cables attached to the door panel.
- Pull the door panel outward to remove it from the door.
4. Access the Power Window Regulator:
- With the door panel removed, you will have access to the power window regulator mechanism. It is usually located behind a plastic cover inside the door.
- Remove the plastic cover to access the regulator.
5. Inspect the Regulator:
- Check the regulator for any obvious damage or wear.
- If the regulator is broken, you will need to replace it with a new one.
- If the regulator is still intact, you may need to replace the window motor instead.
6. Replace the Regulator or Motor:
- If replacing the regulator, disconnect any electrical connectors and remove the mounting bolts holding it in place.
- Install the new regulator by reversing the removal process.
- If replacing the motor, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the mounting bolts. Install the new motor by reversing the removal process.
7. Test the Window:
- Reconnect the battery.
- Close the door and try operating the power window to ensure it is functioning properly.
8. Reinstall the Door Panel and Trim:
- Reinstall the door panel by inserting it back into the door and securing it with the screws you removed earlier.
- Reinstall the door trim panel and secure it with the screws.
9. Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
- Test the power window to make sure it is operating correctly.
