1. Obtain a working Honda Accord remote.
If you do not have a working remote, you will need to purchase one. Aftermarket remotes are available, but they must be compatible with your specific model and year of Honda Accord.
2. Locate the car's anti-theft system indicator light.
This light is located on the dashboard of your car, usually near the odometer.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
Do not start the engine.
4. Within 10 seconds, press and hold the "LOCK" button on the working remote for 5 seconds.
The anti-theft system indicator light will start to flash.
5. Release the "LOCK" button on the working remote.
The anti-theft system indicator light will stop flashing.
6. Press the "UNLOCK" button on the new remote.
The anti-theft system indicator light will flash again.
7. Press the "LOCK" button on the new remote.
The anti-theft system indicator light will stop flashing.
8. Test the new remote.
Try locking and unlocking your car using the new remote. If it works, you have successfully programmed it.
Note: If the anti-theft system indicator light does not flash when you press the buttons on the remotes, you may need to repeat the programming steps.
