1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Allow the transmission fluid to cool down for a few minutes.
3. Locate the transmission fill plug on the side of the transmission. It is usually a 17mm bolt.
4. Remove the fill plug and check the fluid level. The fluid should be at the bottom of the fill hole.
5. If the fluid level is low, add enough fluid to bring it up to the bottom of the fill hole.
6. Replace the fill plug and tighten it securely.
