How can I check the auto. transmission fluid level in my 1990 Honda civic dx - find stick Is there one?

The 1990 Honda Civic DX does not have a transmission fluid dipstick. Instead, the fluid level is checked through the fill plug on the side of the transmission. To check the fluid level, follow these steps:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Allow the transmission fluid to cool down for a few minutes.

3. Locate the transmission fill plug on the side of the transmission. It is usually a 17mm bolt.

4. Remove the fill plug and check the fluid level. The fluid should be at the bottom of the fill hole.

5. If the fluid level is low, add enough fluid to bring it up to the bottom of the fill hole.

6. Replace the fill plug and tighten it securely.
