How do you change a cabin air filter on 2001 Honda CR-V?

Tools

* Philips-head screwdriver

* New cabin air filter

Removing the Cabin Air Filter:

1. Open the glove box and remove the contents.

2. You will see a white plastic access panel at the lower right-hand corner of the cabin opening.

3. Loosen the screw near the center of the panel. Do not remove it.

4. Press the center section of the panel away from you while pulling down at the bottom.

5. Gently pull the hinged access panel down and out. Slide the old cabin air filter out of its slot.

Installing the Cabin Air Filter:

1. With the white filter access panel still hanging down, slide the new cabin air filter into the slot as far as it will go, taking care to maintain the proper orientation of the filter.

2. Ensure the filter is installed as far as possible, then swing the access panel back up into place and reinsert the screw.

3. Replace the items that were in the glove compartment and push it closed.
