How do you change front brake rotors on a 1998 Hyundai Accent?

Here are the steps to change the front brake rotors on a 1998 Hyundai Accent:

1. Gather the necessary tools and materials. You will need:

* New brake rotors

* Brake pads

* Caliper bolts (2)

* Brake caliper

* Lug wrench

* Socket wrench

* Ratchet

* Torque wrench

* Jack and jack stands

* Safety glasses

* Gloves

2. Prepare your car. Park your car on a level surface and apply the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down. Engage the parking brake and chock the rear wheels to prevent the car from rolling.

3. Remove the lug nuts. Use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels. Do not remove the lug nuts completely.

4. Jack up the car. Use the jack to lift up the front of the car until the front wheels are off the ground. Place jack stands under the car for safety.

5. Remove the wheels. Remove the lug nuts and pull the wheels off the car.

6. Remove the brake caliper. Use the socket wrench and ratchet to loosen the two bolts that hold the brake caliper in place. Remove the bolts and pull the caliper off the brake rotor.

7. Remove the brake pads. The brake pads are held in place by two clips. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the clips off. Once the clips are removed, you can pull the brake pads out of the caliper.

8. Clean the brake caliper. Use a wire brush to clean the brake caliper. Be sure to remove all of the old brake dust and grease.

9. Install the new brake rotors. Slide the new brake rotors onto the wheel hubs. Make sure that the rotors are seated properly.

10. Install the new brake pads. Insert the new brake pads into the caliper. Make sure that the pads are seated properly.

11. Install the brake caliper. Replace the brake caliper and secure it with the two bolts. Tighten the bolts until they are snug.

12. Put the wheels back on. Slide the wheels back onto the car. Tighten the lug nuts until they are snug.

13. Lower the car. Use the jack to lower the car until it is back on the ground. Remove the jack stands.

14. Test the brakes. Pump the brake pedal a few times to check that the brakes are working properly.

15. Dispose of the old brake rotors and pads. Be sure to recycle the old rotors and pads according to your local regulations.
