1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent the airbag from deploying accidentally.
2. Remove the airbag. There are two bolts on the back of the steering wheel that hold the airbag in place. Remove these bolts and carefully remove the airbag.
3. Remove the steering wheel nut. This nut is located in the center of the steering wheel. Use a wrench to loosen the nut and remove it.
4. Pull the steering wheel off the shaft. Once the nut is removed, you can pull the steering wheel off the shaft. Be careful not to drop the steering wheel.
5. Reconnect the battery. Once the steering wheel is removed, you can reconnect the battery.
