Start by opening the trunk of your Tundra. This will give you access to the tail light assemblies.
Step 2: Remove the Trunk Liner
Once the trunk is open, you will need to remove the trunk liner. This is done by simply prying it up with your fingers. Be careful not to tear the liner.
Step 3: Locate the Tail Light Assembly Bolts
Once the trunk liner is removed, you will be able to see the tail light assembly bolts. There are two bolts on each side of the vehicle.
Step 4: Remove the Tail Light Assembly Bolts
Use a wrench to loosen and remove the tail light assembly bolts. Be careful not to drop the bolts.
Step 5: Disconnect the Tail Light Assembly Connector
Once the bolts are removed, you need to disconnect the tail light assembly connector. Simply press on the release tab and pull the connector apart.
Step 6: Remove the Tail Light Assembly
Now you can remove the tail light assembly from the vehicle. Be careful not to drop it.
Step 7: Replace the Tail Light Assembly (if Necessary)
If you are replacing the tail light assembly, simply reverse the steps above to install the new one.
Step 8: Reinstall the Trunk Liner
Once the tail light assembly is installed, you can reinstall the trunk liner.
Step 9: Close the Trunk
Finally, close the trunk of your Tundra.
