How do you uninstall the factory stereo on a 1992 Honda Accord?

To uninstall the factory stereo on a 1992 Honda Accord, follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will prevent any electrical shock while working on the stereo.

2. Remove the four screws that hold the stereo faceplate in place. Two screws are located on either side of the stereo.

3. Gently pry the stereo faceplate off of the dashboard. Be careful not to damage the faceplate or any of the wiring behind it.

4. Locate the two mounting bolts that hold the stereo in place. The bolts are located on either side of the stereo, just above the faceplate.

5. Remove the mounting bolts. You may need to use a socket wrench to loosen the bolts.

6. Gently pull the stereo out of the dashboard. Be careful not to damage any of the wiring behind the stereo.

7. Disconnect the wiring from the back of the stereo. The wiring is usually color-coded, so it is easy to identify.

8. Remove the stereo from the car.

Once the stereo is removed, you can install a new stereo in its place.
