Instructions:
1. Locate the shift knob. It is located in the center console of the vehicle, between the front seats.
2. (This applies to vehicles without shift gates.) Push the shift knob upward until it disengages from the shift lever.
3. If your vehicle has a shift gate, lift the shift knob straight up and off the shifter while holding the shift gate button in.
4. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up the plastic trim ring around the base of the shift knob.
5. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws that secure the shift knob to the shift lever.
6. Lift the shift knob straight up and off the shift lever.
7. To install a new shift knob, simply reverse the steps above.
