1. Park your car safely. Engage the parking brake and set the parking brake.
2. Open the trunk of your car.
3. Locate the brake light assembly. Remove the nuts/screws holding it in place.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector. Press the tab on the connector and pull it straight out.
5. Take out the old brake light. Carefully remove it from the housing, noting the position and orientation of the bulb socket or bulb holder.
6. Install the new brake light. Insert the bulb socket or bulb holder into the housing and twist it to lock it in place.
7. Connect the electrical connector. Make sure the connector is fully seated and locked.
8. Replace the nuts or screws. Tighten the nuts/screws to hold the brake light in place.
9. Test the new brake light.
10. Close the trunk.
