How do you remove the windshield wiper assembly on a 1997 Chrysler Town and Country?

1. Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.

2. Pop the hood and locate the windshield wiper assembly. It is located at the base of the windshield and consists of the wiper arms, blades, and motor.

3. Use a flat-head screwdriver or a trim removal tool to pry up the plastic covers that are located at the base of the wiper arms.

4. Once the covers are removed, you will see the nuts that hold the wiper arms in place. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the nuts.

5. Pull the wiper arms straight up and off the splined shafts.

6. Disconnect the electrical connector for the heated windshield wiper option (If applicable) If you have heated windshield wipers, there will be a wiring connector attached to one of the wiper motors. Disconnect the connector by pressing the release tab and pulling the connector straight off the motor.

7. Locate the nuts that hold the wiper motor assembly to the firewall. There are usually three or four nuts.

8. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the nuts.

9. Remove the wiper motor assembly from the vehicle.
