How do you change a serpentine belt on 2001 Honda CR-V?

Tools Needed:

- Replacement serpentine belt

- Socket wrench

- Ratchet

- 14 mm socket

Instructions:

1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.

2. Locate the serpentine belt tensioner. It is on the passenger side of the engine.

3. Using the socket wrench and ratchet, loosen the bolt on the serpentine belt tensioner.

4. Once the tensioner is loosened, remove the serpentine belt from the pulleys.

5. Install the new serpentine belt by routing it around the pulleys. Start at the bottom of the engine on the crankshaft and go counterclockwise.

6. Once the belt is routed, adjust the tensioner by turning the bolt clockwise until the spring compresses 29 ft-lb (40 N-m).

7. Double check that the belt is properly routed and that the tension is set correctly.

8. Lower the vehicle from the jack stands.

The serpentine belt is now changed.
