1. Park the truck on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the rear wheels, but do not remove them.
3. Raise the rear of the truck until the wheels are off the ground.
4. Remove the lug nuts and wheels.
5. Locate the parking brake shoes inside the rear brake rotors.
6. Use a flat-head screwdriver to turn the star adjuster on the parking brake shoes until they make contact with the inside of the brake rotors.
7. Back off the star adjuster until the shoes are just barely disengaged from the rotors.
8. Reinstall the wheels and lug nuts, and lower the truck.
9. Test the parking brake by applying it and releasing it several times. It should hold the truck in place without dragging or squealing.
Note: If the parking brake does not hold the truck in place after adjustment, it may be necessary to replace the parking brake shoes or cables.
