Instructions:
1. Remove the Door Panel:
- Begin by removing the door panel. Start by prying off the plastic cover located on the armrest.
- Remove the screws underneath the cover, and then use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the door panel carefully, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
2. Disconnect the Door Handle Linkage:
- Once the door panel is removed, locate the door handle linkage connected to the exterior door handle.
- There will be a clip holding the linkage in place. Use a flat-head screwdriver to release the clip and disconnect the linkage.
3. Remove the Exterior Door Handle:
- Locate the screws securing the exterior door handle. Typically, there are two screws, one located at the top and the other at the bottom.
- Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove these screws.
4. Replace the Exterior Door Handle:
- With the old handle removed, insert the new door handle into the slot.
- Secure the new door handle using the two screws you removed earlier.
5. Reconnect the Door Handle Linkage:
- Reattach the door handle linkage that you disconnected earlier. Make sure the clip snaps securely into place.
6. Reinstall the Door Panel:
- Align the door panel with the door and press it back into place.
- Secure the door panel with the screws you removed earlier.
- Make sure to reattach the plastic cover on the armrest.
7. Test the Door Handle:
- Once everything is reinstalled, test the new door handle to make sure it operates correctly.
