How do you fix the wiper control arm in a 1996 Saturn?

1. Locate the wiper control arm. The wiper control arm is located on the driver's side of the vehicle, under the dashboard. It is a black plastic arm with a knob on the end.

3. Remove the wiper control arm from the steering column. To remove the wiper control arm, pry it up with a flat-head screwdriver.

4. Inspect the wiper control arm. Look for any damage to the arm or the gears inside it. If there is any damage, the wiper control arm will need to be replaced.

5. Replace the wiper control arm. To replace the wiper control arm, insert it into the steering column and push down until it snaps into place.

6. Reinstall the knob on the wiper control arm. To reinstall the knob, turn it clockwise until it is tight.

7. Test the wiper control arm. Turn the knob to the different positions and make sure that the wipers work properly.
