Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.
1. Open the trunk of your Lexus GS 300.
2. Locate the brake light assembly. It is housed in the rear of the trunk, on either side of the vehicle.
3. Press the release tab on the brake light assembly and pull it out of the trunk.
4. Remove the old brake light bulb by turning it counterclockwise.
5. Slide the new bulb into place and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
6. Push the brake light assembly back into the trunk until it locks into place.
7. Test the brake lights to make sure they are working properly.
Repeat steps 3-7 if you need to replace the brake light bulb on the other side of the vehicle.
