1. Locate the spare tire.
- The spare tire is located under the vehicle in the spare tire well.
2. Park your vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
- This will help to ensure the vehicle does not roll while you are removing the spare tire.
3. Open the trunk of your vehicle.
- You will need to access the spare tire from inside the trunk.
4. Locate the spare tire release mechanism.
- The spare tire release mechanism is located on the left side of the trunk, under the spare tire cover.
5. Press the spare tire release mechanism.
- This will release the spare tire from the vehicle.
6. Lower the spare tire.
- The spare tire will drop down into the spare tire well.
7. Remove the spare tire from the spare tire well.
- Pull the spare tire up and out of the spare tire well.
8. Replace the spare tire with the flat tire.
- Place the spare tire on the lug nuts of the flat tire, and then hand-tighten the lug nuts.
9. Use a lug wrench to tighten the lug nuts until they are snug.
- Be sure to tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern.
10. Lower the spare tire back into the spare tire well.
- Push the spare tire down until it is secure in the spare tire well.
11. Replace the spare tire cover.
- Place the spare tire cover over the spare tire, and then secure it in place.
