1. Disconnect the battery:
- Open the hood of your car and locate the battery.
- Disconnect the negative terminal (usually marked with a "-" sign) by loosening the nut or bolt that holds it in place.
- Leave the negative terminal disconnected for a few minutes, then reconnect it.
2. Find and remove the alarm module:
- The alarm module is usually located under the driver's seat or behind the glove box.
- Once you find the alarm module, disconnect it from its wiring harness.
- This should disable the stock alarm.
3. Reprogram your remote:
- You may also need to reprogram the remote for the unlock function.
- Check the owner's manual for instructions on how to do this.
