For Cars with a Maintenance Minder System
1. Make sure the oil change has been completed.
2. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position, but do not start the engine.
3. Press and hold the "Select/Reset" button on the dashboard for a few seconds until the maintenance required light begins to flash.
4. Press the "Select/Reset" button again to reset the light.
5. Turn the ignition off and then back on to verify the light is off.
For Cars without a Maintenance Minder System
1. Make sure the oil change has been completed.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect it.
3. Start the car and let it idle for a few minutes.
4. Turn the engine off and then start it again.
5. The maintenance required light should be off.
If the maintenance required light does not turn off after following these steps, you may need to take your car to a qualified mechanic for diagnosis and repair.
