1. Gather Tools and Parts:
- Replacement clutch kit (includes clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing, and pilot bearing)
- Flywheel resurfacing kit (if necessary)
- Transmission fluid
- Jack and jack stands
- Socket set

- prybar or clutch alignment tool
2. Safety Preparation:
- Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels to prevent the car from moving.
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid any electrical accidents.
3. Remove Transmission:
- Raise the vehicle with the jack and place jack stands under the designated areas for safety.
- Remove the transmission cross member to allow the transmission to be lowered.
- Disconnect any electrical connectors or linkages attached to the transmission.
- Remove the bolts securing the transmission to the engine.
- Lower the transmission.
4. Replace the Clutch:
- Remove the old clutch disc and pressure plate. Inspect the flywheel surface and resurface it if necessary using the flywheel resurfacing kit.
- Install the pilot bearing into the flywheel using a proper tool or socket.
- Install the new clutch disc and pressure plate. Ensure that the alignment is correct.
- Reinstall the release bearing and clutch fork.
5. Reinstall Transmission:
- Lift the transmission and carefully align it with the engine and input shaft.
- Secure the transmission with the bolts removed earlier. Reconnect any electrical connectors and linkages.
- Reinstall the transmission cross member.
6. Check and Refill Fluids:
- Top off the transmission fluid to the recommended level using the manufacturer's specifications.
7. Test Functionality:
- Lower the vehicle from the jack stands and start the engine.
- Engage the clutch pedal and shift into different gears to ensure smooth operation.
