- Jack and jack stands

Instructions:
1. Park your Ranger on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Jack up the rear of the Ranger and place jack stands under the frame.
3. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheels.
4. Use a screwdriver to remove the two Phillips head screws that hold the caliper in place.
5. Use a pry bar or flat head screw driver to pry the caliper up and away from the rotor.
6. **Now you can swing the caliper around so you have full access to the brake pad assembly bracket.
You need to remove the 2 bolts that hold the brake assembly in place.
7. Remove the brake pads from the caliper bracket.
8. Inspect the rotor for wear and damage. If the rotor is worn or damaged, it will need to be replaced.
9. Clean the caliper bracket and rotor with brake cleaner.
10. Install the new brake pads into the caliper bracket.
11. Bolt back the brake assembly into the caliper bracket.
12. Swing the caliper back in place over the rotor.
13. Screw the caliper guide pin bolts back in and and bolt the caliper in place.
14. Reinstall the lug nuts and wheels.
15. Lower the Ranger off the jack stands.
16. Test the brakes before driving.
