Why Neon start after head gasket replacement?

There are a few reasons why a Neon might start after a head gasket replacement when it wouldn't start before.

- The head gasket was the problem. If the head gasket was blown, it would have allowed coolant to leak into the combustion chamber, causing the engine to overheat and eventually fail to start. Replacing the head gasket would have sealed this leak, allowing the engine to start normally.

- The head gasket replacement fixed another problem. If the car had a cracked cylinder head or a blown head gasket, replacing it could fix the coolant flow to the engine and correct any timing issues. This would allow the engine to start as it was intended.

- The car was not properly bled of air after the head gasket replacement. If there is air in the cooling system, it can prevent the engine from starting by causing cavitation in the water pump. Bleeding the air from the system will allow the engine to circulate coolant properly and start normally.

If your Neon is still not starting after having the head gasket replaced, it is important to have it diagnosed by a qualified mechanic to determine the exact cause of the problem.
