1. Turn the key to the "On" position, but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold the trip reset button on the instrument cluster.
3. While holding the trip reset button, turn the key to the "Off" position.
4. Continue to hold the trip reset button for a few seconds after turning the key off.
5. Release the trip reset button.
6. Start the engine.
The check engine warning light should now be reset.
Note: If the check engine warning light turns on again after resetting, it is recommended to have the vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic to identify and fix the underlying problem.
