* Socket set with 3/8-inch drive
* Ratchet
* Pry bar
* Brake caliper spreader

Materials
* New brake pads
* Brake rotors (if necessary)
* Brake fluid (if necessary)
Instructions
1. Park the Trailblazer on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels.
3. Raise the Trailblazer with a jack and support it with jack stands.
4. Remove the lug nuts and then the front wheels.
5. Remove the brake calipers by removing the two bolts that hold them in place.
6. Remove the old brake pads from the calipers.
7. If the brake rotors are worn, replace them now.
8. Install the new brake pads in the calipers.
9. Reinstall the brake calipers and then the front wheels.
10. Tighten the lug nuts and then lower the Trailblazer.
11. Top off the brake fluid reservoir if necessary.
12. Test the brakes by applying them gently while driving slowly.
Tips
* Be careful not to drop the brake caliper on your foot.
* If you get any brake fluid on your skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water.
* Brake fluid is corrosive, so be sure to clean up any spills immediately.
* Always wear eye protection when working on brakes.
