- A Phillips screwdriver
- A flat-head screwdriver
- A pair of pliers
Step 1: Open the hood.
1. Locate the hood release lever inside your vehicle, which is usually located near the driver's footwell.
2. Pull the hood release lever to release the hood.
3. Walk to the front of your vehicle and lift the hood.
Step 2: Remove the headlight assembly.
1. Locate the four Phillips screws along the top of the headlight assembly.
2. Use the Phillips screwdriver to loosen the four screws and remove them.
3. Locate the two plastic tabs along the bottom of the headlight assembly.
4. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry the two plastic tabs, releasing the headlight assembly from its mount.
5. Lift the headlight assembly up and out of its mount.
Step 3: Disconnect the electrical connector.
1. Locate the electrical connector on the back of the headlight assembly.
2. Pinch the release tab on the electrical connector and disconnect it from the light socket.
Step 4: Remove the old bulb.
1. Lift the locking ring on the back of the headlight assembly.
2. Remove the old bulb by turning it counterclockwise.
Step 5: Install the new bulb.
1. Insert the new bulb into the socket.
2. Turn the bulb clockwise until it is seated properly.
3. Replace the locking ring on the back of the headlight assembly.
Step 6: Reconnect the electrical connector.
1. Locate the electrical connector on the back of the headlight assembly.
2. Pinch the release tab on the electrical connector and connect it to the light socket.
Step 7: Replace the headlight assembly.
1. Carefully align the headlight assembly with its mount.
2. Replace the two plastic tabs along the bottom of the headlight assembly, making sure they snap into place.
3. Replace the four Phillips screws along the top of the headlight assembly and tighten them securely.
Step 8: Close the hood.
1. Walk to the front of your vehicle and lower the hood.
2. Release the hood by pushing down on the hood release lever inside your vehicle.
