Front-wheel Drive:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Engage the parking brake.

3. Lift the front of the vehicle with a jack and place jack stands under the frame so the wheels are off the ground.

4. Remove the wheels.

5. Press the brake pedal all the way to the floor.

6. While holding the pedal down, turn the brake caliper adjustment screw counterclockwise using an appropriate-sized wrench until the brake pads are backed away from the rotors.

7. Release the brake pedal.

8. Repeat steps 5-7 on the other side of the vehicle.

9. Install the wheels and lower the vehicle.

10. Test the brakes to ensure they are working properly.

Rear-wheel Drive:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Engage the parking brake.

3. Raise the rear of the vehicle with a jack and place jack stands under the frame so the wheels are off the ground.

4. Remove the wheels.

5. Press the brake pedal all the way to the floor.

6. While holding the pedal down, use a flat-head screwdriver to push the adjuster lever back until the brake shoes are backed away from the drums.

7. Release the brake pedal.

8. Repeat steps 5-7 on the other side of the vehicle.

9. Install the wheels and lower the vehicle.

10. Test the brakes to ensure they are working properly.
