3. Use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the wheel assembly that is on the same side of the vehicle as the lower control arm you will be replacing. Do not remove the lug nuts completely.
4. Jack up the vehicle until the tire is off the ground. Place the jack stands in the appropriate places to support the vehicle under the frame. Lower the vehicle onto the jack stands.
5. Remove the lug nuts completely and remove the wheel assembly.
6. Locate the lower control arm mounting bolts. There will be two on each side of the control arm.

8. Support the control arm with a pry bar and remove the bolts completely.
9. Remove the control arm from the vehicle by pulling it out of the mounting holes.
10. Install the new lower control arm by inserting it into the mounting holes.
11. Install the new bolts and tighten them until the control arm is securely in place. Note that the bolts may be different than the original bolts.
12. Replace the wheel assembly and lug nuts. Tighten the lug nuts until they are snug, then lower the vehicle to the ground.
13. Tighten the lug nuts completely and use the torque wrench to tighten them to the specified torque.
14. Test drive the vehicle to ensure that the lower control arm is working properly.
