1. Park the van on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood and locate the clutch cable. It is usually a black or gray cable that runs from the clutch pedal to the clutch housing.
3. Loosen the locknut on the clutch cable. This is the nut that is located at the end of the cable, where it attaches to the clutch housing.
4. Turn the adjusting nut on the clutch cable. The adjusting nut is located on the clutch cable, about halfway between the locknut and the clutch pedal. Turn the adjusting nut clockwise to tighten the cable and counterclockwise to loosen it.
5. Tighten the locknut on the clutch cable.
6. Test the clutch by depressing the clutch pedal. The clutch should feel smooth and engage fully when you depress the pedal.
