1. Safety Precautions:
- Park your car on a level surface, turn off the engine, and allow it to cool down.
- Engage the parking brake.
2. Open the Hood:
- Locate the hood release lever inside your car, usually near the driver's seat.
- Pull the lever to release the hood.
- Go to the front of your car and lift the hood.
- Prop the hood open with the support rod.
3. Locate the Headlights:
- On each side of the engine bay, you'll find the headlight assembly.
- The headlights are usually covered by a plastic cover or housing.
4. Remove the Headlight Cover:
- Some models have a twist-lock mechanism holding the cover in place. Turn it counterclockwise to release the cover.
- Other models might require you to gently pry open the cover using a flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool. Be careful not to damage the paint.
5. Disconnect the Electrical Connector:
- Behind the headlight cover, you'll find the electrical connector for the headlight bulb.
- Press the locking tab on the connector and pull it straight out to disconnect it from the headlight.
6. Remove the Headlight Bulb:
- Locate the headlight bulb inside the assembly.
- It may be held in place by a retainer clip or a twist-lock mechanism.
- Gently turn or press the retainer clip or twist-lock to release the bulb.
- Pull the bulb straight out to remove it.
7. Replace the Headlight Bulb:
- Take the new headlight bulb and insert it into the socket.
- Make sure it's securely seated and locked in place.
8. Reconnect the Electrical Connector:
- Push the electrical connector back onto the headlight bulb until it clicks into place.
9. Reattach the Headlight Cover:
- Align the headlight cover with the assembly and gently press it back into place.
- If it has a twist-lock mechanism, turn it clockwise to lock it.
10. Repeat on the Other Side:
- Repeat the process to replace the headlight bulb on the other side of your vehicle.
11. Close the Hood:
- After both headlights have been replaced, release the support rod and carefully lower the hood.
- Make sure it's properly latched.
12. Test the Headlights:
- Start your car and turn on the headlights to ensure they are working correctly.

- If your vehicle has separate high and low beam bulbs, you might need to identify and replace the specific bulb that needs changing.
