- Brake fluid (use DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid)
- Clear tubing (about 1-2 feet long)
- Wrench (to fit the bleeder screw)
- Container to catch the old brake fluid
Instructions:
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the clutch bleeder screw on the slave cylinder. The slave cylinder is usually located on the driver's side of the transmission.
3. Attach one end of the clear tubing to the bleeder screw and the other end to the container to catch the old brake fluid.
4. Open the bleeder screw about 1/4 turn.
5. Press down on the clutch pedal all the way and hold it down.
6. While holding the clutch pedal down, close the bleeder screw.
7. Release the clutch pedal slowly.
8. Repeat steps 4 to 7 until no more air bubbles are coming out of the bleeder screw.
9. Top up the clutch fluid reservoir with new brake fluid.
10. Test the clutch pedal to make sure it feels firm and engages the clutch smoothly.
