Rear wheels pop when turning sharply?

Wheel hop

This issue is caused by a defective driveshaft U-joint. Replace it and check the splines on the driveshaft for wear as well.

Loose lug nuts.

If the lug nuts on your wheels are loose, they can cause a popping noise when you turn sharply.

Faulty wheel bearings.

If the wheel bearings are worn or damaged, they can also cause a popping noise when turning.

Faulty suspension components.

If the suspension components, such as the control arms, ball joints, or tie rods, are worn or damaged, they can cause a popping sound when turning sharply.

Defective axle.

If the axle is bent or damaged, it can also cause a popping noise when turning sharply.

Faulty differential.

If the differential is worn, damaged, or has a low fluid level, it can also cause a popping noise when turning sharply.

Worn-out transmission mounts.

If the transmission mounts are worn out, they can also cause a popping noise when turning sharply.

Faulty brake components.

If the brake components, such as the brake pads, rotors, or calipers, are worn or damaged, they can also cause a popping noise when turning.
